Starting the 4th of July this year, the INZ will not be issuing the visa stickers that are basically physical labels for those who have been approved of visas. So to be able to know which passports have been given visas, in place of the stickers, individuals would be getting their visas via email and these would be known as electronic visas or e-Visas.

Not all people are quite happy about this especially those who are not into the techie side. However, this change seems to be quite a good one as it would mean a lot less expenses on paper and the production of these stickers. With computers being the major channel for transactions and such, getting e-Visas would be just quite good. It would mean that there is no need for printing and mobile phones can carry these visas.
