25% Increase In Immigration Applications To Canada’s Newfoundland and Labrador

Al Hawkins works as Newfoundland and Labrador’s minister of Advanced Education, Skills, and Labor. On the increase in applications for the province, he has stated that he believes that the increase can be because of the action plan made especially for immigration. This plan is good for five years and its main goal is to be able to have an increase in the total number of people who are coming to the province as immigrants. The main goal is to be able to bring in 1,700 individuals for each year until the year 2022.

The five-year plan for immigration

Aside from just simply bringing immigrants to Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada, the five-year plan for immigration for the province also aims at making sure that the immigrants who are coming in actually are not just there for a short time but are actually there to stay. They should also be able to help these immigrants be able to find themselves starting to build a home and roots in the province.

The thing about this plan is that it was just launched during the first few months of this year. So this means that it is still in its early stages.
