An Immigrant’s Guide To New Zealand’s Positivity, Bull, and Longest Name Of A Place

There are three amazing things that an immigrant should know about New Zealand. It is essential that they do know about it because it would make them proud to be an immigrant in this wonderful country. After all, one does not simply make their way to the country just because they wanted to and had the resources to do so. They have to go through a lot of obstacles and setbacks just to get the requirements and applications in. An approval to be an immigrant in the country would definitely be a really good thing to receive.

With that, immigrants are highly encouraged to enjoy the country that they are in. There are plenty of things to explore in this country and it is important that they do know some small stuff that can bring about a huge amount of pride in a person.

Positivity among Kiwis.

Kiwis are known to be quite laid-back people. Thanks to the work/life balance that is being promoted in New Zealand, the locals get to enjoy life more and are not always rushed or hurried. It also is a huge factor why they are also quite positive people. They know how to look at the positive side of things. When an earthquake hit Christchurch in 2011 and the malls were destroyed, the Kiwis decided to create a temporary mall out of shipping containers to allow businesses to continue on, and to allow people to be able to purchase the things they need. This move was beneficial for all and a really good example that shows how Kiwis looked at the positive side of things rather than focus on the bad event.

Bull.

Immigrants should know about this place in New Zealand that is known as Bull. Yes, that is the town’s name and it is real. This is the only place in the entire world that is named as such and it makes for an interesting visit during days off work. After all, immigrants can never find such a place anywhere else in the world.

What is even more interesting is that the townsfolk have a really great sense of humor. The hall of the town is known as the Social-a-BULL. The bank in town is known as the Bank-a-BULL. Oh yes. They are that fun. So going there and finding some other incrediBULL names would be a good game to play there.

The place with the longest name.

Taumata whakatangi hangakoauau o tamatea turi pukakapiki maunga horo nuku pokai whenua kitanatahu. No, that is not a sentence. And no, that is not some kind of tongue twister. It is the actual name of a town and it is the longest name of a place in the entire globe. Immigrants surely can travel here to make sure that it is definitely real. It is not everyday they get to go to a place that has the longest name in the entire Earth.
