Immigration processing takes a really long time. Aside from
the time you spend getting and working on the required papers that you would
need to be qualified, you would have to spend more time waiting for the papers
to be processed so you would be considered to be a legal immigrant to the
United Kingdom. Other countries take an even longer time doing so.
The very reason why interested individuals take all the time
to wait for the results of their application is because they are really set on
moving to whatever country they may have set their sights on. If not, they may
have found some other reasons to stay in their home country or look for another
country with a faster immigration processing.
The Home Office
one-day processing
There seems to be good news for all those who are interested
in United Kingdom immigration. Britain’s Home Office has been working on a
system that would make immigration applications finished in just one day. They
are still in the process of testing it out and finding out how well (or how
bad) it would work.
Once the system has been polished, Home Office would then
test it out for all those European Union residents who are already living in
the country. In case of Brexit, these EU citizens would then not be considered
to be official residents of the United Kingdom. Thus, the immigration
processing would help them stay in the UK without much fuss.
Testing it out
Home Office is still working on the system that it has
created. Right now, they are already planning on testing it out and see how
well it should work. That way, before they make it official, they would be able
to see the problems that could be encountered and fix them before they send it
out to the world.
According to some sources from the City, the department is
already testing it out with some corporate clients that they have. This is just
a small number so as to see how well the system sticks to its goal. These
clients are part of the pilot testing and would be giving reviews as per what
needs to be improved upon.
With the testing in place, those who are taking part in it
should be able to “check in” their own passports. Only those who are clients,
are applying, and their dependents should be able to take part in this trial
run.
Once the check in is done, the passports’ information would
then be assessed by the Home Office personnel. These would also be given back
to them after a short amount of time.
