The technology industry in Canada is
booming and this is something that many people from around the world have seen.
And with that, a study has shown that it is perhaps this very reason that is
making more and more skilled individuals from India are starting to choose Canada
over any other country in the world. This study has also disclosed just how
many individuals from India are doing searches for jobs in Canada.
More
and more searches for jobs
There is a huge amount of potential
immigrants from India who are going online and searching for jobs as well as
opportunities for work in Canada. There are more searches for such jobs in
Canada this time around as compared to the number of the same searches for the
United States. A study that has been recently done showed that most of the job
searches are actually for jobs that are related to the technology industry. Although
the United States still leads in terms of searches, its share of the total has
gone down.
The study was done online by a very popular
site that offers a marketplace for both job seekers and employers. As per the
results, the number of share of job searches for Canada, based solely on
searches from India, have gone up to 13% for July of 2018. Compared to the
number of searches in August 2016, there were only around 6%.
Aside from that, the study also has
reflected that the number of shares for employment offers for the United States
had gone through a drop. The United States had around 60% of the total searches
back in August of 2016. However, for July of 2018, it now only held to 50%.
Most of the lost amount of shares had gone to Canada.
An analysis of the numbers has showed that
this is definitely the largest drop that they have seen. So far, as compared to
all other countries that had been part of the study, the numbers from India
were the most interesting.
How
the study was done
In an effort to better their service, the
website looked at various job searches that were done by individuals. They took
into account those searches that were abroad. Meaning, if a person is in one
country, their job search should be somewhere outside their country. They
studied 58 different countries for two years. Their main focus though was the
searches for the United States and for Canada, which are two of the leading
countries when it comes to searches. Of course, they also kept an eye out for
other booming countries when it came to searches done by potential immigrants.
The top searches that had come from India
were mostly connected to the technology industry, which is booming in Canada.
The list of top searches included professions like business analyst, web
developer, Java developer, data analyst, software engineer, data scientist, and
software developer.
