Only a small percentage of the locals who took part in the study has disclosed that they saw immigration and refugees to be quite a big issue for the country. Many believe that immigrants and refugees should be welcomed to Canadian soil and helped out until they are able to adapt and settle in the new country that they are in.

The study that was conducted

According to the study, a good portion of the Canadian population is quite positive when it comes to refugees and immigrants coming to their country. They believe that it is a big issue that should bring about any negative impact. This study was done by the Environics Institute and it focuses on the views and perception of Canadians with regards to things like the economy, immigration, as well as refugees.

Environics Institute mainly does research on public opinion. This new study was done just this Spring of 2019. Comparing the data to previous studies done before, the numbers are very much just about the same.
