They have accounted for around 85% of the growth for that quarter. It has also been noted that all of the provinces in Canada have benefited from immigration and for the given quarter this year, these provinces have experienced an increase in their numbers in immigration. Prince Edward Island had been on top of the list in terms of growth in immigration. Statistics Canada has also stated that immigration is a huge factor when it comes to the growth of population.
