The CN Tower In Toronto And How Immigrants And Locals Of Canada Are Amazed By It

In each place, there is an icon. For example, in France, the iconic landmark in this country would be the Eiffel Tower. There is also the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, and the Taj Mahal in Uttar Pradesh. And these iconic spots are usually visited by millions of people each year. They want to take photos there as a souvenir that they were able to visit it. And in the case of Toronto, the iconic landmark would be the CN Tower. This spot in Canada is yet another beautiful place that immigrants and locals of the country visit.

There are plenty of people who choose to go to this place each year. Tons and tons of photos surfaced online of this iconic tower in Canada and despite that, each one is still as amazing as the next one. It is majestic in its own sense and it surely is a sight to behold.

What is the CN Tower?

The magnificent CN Tower is one of Canada's most recognizable structures. It stands right by Lake Ontario's shore and it sure is one of the most famous spots in the largest metropolis in Canada. The tower rises to a height of 553 meters and it definitely towers over the skyline. One would have to be blind to not really see this building. It actually functions as an observation and communications tower.

It was finished in 1976 on the former Railway Lands. The initials "CN" stood for Canadian National, the railroad corporation that worked and built the tower. The tower was given to the Canada Lands Company, a federal Crown body that was responsible for real estate development. This was done after the railway decided to offload non-core freight railway assets ahead of its privatization in 1995.

What is in the CN Tower?

Fine dining is available at the very top as the CN Tower has a restaurant that revolves at 360 degrees. Here, people can dine while they are able to enjoy the view from the top and admire the entire city and the lake.  The Glass Floor and the LookOut provide stunning views of the entire place. Of course, this is not for everyone, as there are people who are not that keen on being that high up. Those who are afraid of heights can simply experience marveling at its grandeur and its height from below.

One can also consider walking outside the CN Tower and right into an enclosed area that is known as the CN Tower Edgewalk. It is a metal walkway that gives people in Canada who are visiting the structure an added thrill. Of course, for safety, people who choose to do this would be strapped in and then be able to stroll about the 116-story skyscraper.
