Immigration In Nova Scotia, Canada Has Already Reached A New Record This 2022

The year may not have ended yet but it does look like the province of Nova Scotia in Canada has already reached its target and has even broken its old record in terms of immigration. For this year, from January until the end of September, Nova Scotia has already recorded 10,670 new individuals that have been given the permanent resident status. This is according to Ava Czapalay, the Deputy Immigration Minister of the province. That number is actually a lot more as compared to years before. The Deputy Immigration Minister also continued that with that number and having three months to still add to that, things are really looking good for the province.

 

Following the trend during the first nine months of 2022, the province is right on track toward meeting its immigration target. It is also estimated that by this current year ends, the province in Canada would be welcoming around 14,227 new individuals with permanent resident status. That number is actually around 55.4% more as compared to the province’s immigration data from a year ago. And 2021 has been good to Nova Scotia as the immigration number has already broken previous records. 2021 saw the province welcoming 9,155 new immigrants.

Czapalay continued to disclose that the province received tons of applications from interested individuals all around the world. The embassy of Canada had to ensure that all of those applicants were screened. They had to go through tons of applications and the applications from different individuals who were from different walks of life and professions including doctors, nurses, teachers, and truck drivers. Of course, Canada does not just bring in any person but have to ensure that these people met all the requirements set by the country, and these individuals should be able to help out the province and the entire country grow the economy.

 

With that huge amount of interest in moving to the country, it would not be surprising if it is able to meet its immigration target for 2022.
