New System Accelerates Family Reunification For Immigrants In Canada

Many people are looking for a new country which they could move to and call home. With tons of countries available, deciding on one is a big decision. However, for many of these individuals, they already have chosen Canada as the best country for them. This is not surprising because Canada has been welcoming immigrants and their different cultures. It has a strong economy and offers many opportunities for career growth. It also has a high standard of living, which is also one of the main factors why people choose to move to this country.

It is a good thing that many people choose to move to Canada because the country needs immigrants. In fact, the government is doing the best that it can to bring in as many immigrants as it needs. It also ensures that the immigrants stay in the country by offering different programs that would help the newcomers adjust better to the country. The country also has programs that would help reunify families so that immigrants would continue to stay there.

Reunifying families in Canada

Sean Fraser, the minister for Immigration, disclosed that the government is already using a new system that has been designed to bring to Canada the spouses, parents, and children of immigrants. By doing so, immigrants would be reunited with their families and they could live and stay in the country for long. It would also mean that immigrants would not have to think about leaving the country since they have their families there with them.

In the old system, family members of immigrants who would like to make that move to Canada can start to send in their applications to join their sponsors. They can do this while they are still waiting for their application for a permanent residency to get approval. However, they are often refused to move to Canada because they are believed that they would not leave the country even if the visa expires. This is the issue being addressed by the new system, which makes use of advanced analytics so that it would be able to identify individuals who already have sent in their application for a permanent residency visa and they would be given visa approval a lot quicker. The government is also hoping that the turnaround time for such applications would take at least 30 days.

The new system

Things seem to be going well with the new system. According to Fraser, many applications have been processed using it. The approval rate for these applications has been at more than 98%, which is a pretty good number. Fraser also continued that spouses of immigrants, as well as their dependent children who hold temporary visas to Canada, can also be approved for open work permits.
