Canada Tops Survey In Being Most Accepting Of Immigrants

A global survey has been recently done and the results have shown that Canada tops all other countries in the world when it comes to being the most accepting country of immigrants. The study was done by a company that operates from the United States and the results have concluded that Canada is the most open to immigrants and that it is the top country that has locals who are very accepting of immigrants. This is definitely a piece of good news for all potential immigrants who are planning on moving to Canada at the soonest time possible.

 

Many individuals from around the world have been planning on moving to a new country. Canada has always been a top country of choice for many of these potential immigrants given the policies, economy, and culture that the country has. It is also a good thing that it is also the most accepting of immigrants which makes adapting for new immigrants quite easier, given that the locals are more than willing to help them out.

 

The study that was done

 

The group that took the initiative to do the study used a poll to get data for analysis. This survey was done in 2019 and it was done wide-scale. A total of 145 countries were part of the study and there were around 1,000 individuals from each country who took part in the survey. To get the data, the people behind the study talked to people via phone or by having interviews with them face-to-face.

 

The respondents were asked some questions which included if they thought that immigrants who chose to move to their country was a good thing or a bad thing. They were also asked if these new immigrants eventually became their neighbor was a good thing or a bad thing. They also were asked if the new immigrants married one of the members of their family and if this was a good thing or a bad thing. The respondents were asked to answer the questions by giving a score of 0 to 9, and 9 would be the highest score to be given and it meant that the country was more accepting of new immigrants.

 

The results of the study

 

After all the data that the study was able to collect was gathered and analyzed, Canada clearly took the top spot as the country that was most accepting of new immigrants. The country was able to get 8.46 total points out of the top score of 9.0 points. This is definitely a reflection of how accepting the country and its locals are to newcomers.

 

Following closely behind Canada with 8.41 points is Iceland. The remaining countries in the top 10 as the most accepting countries in the entire world are New Zealand (8.32), Australia, (8.28), Sierra Leone (8.14), United States (7.95), Burkina Faso (7.93), Sweden (7.92), Chad (7.91), and Ireland and Rwanda (7.88).
